We are somewhere in rural Karnataka, sometime in the 2020s, and the film opens on two love stories running on parallel tracks. Santosh (Shri Mahadev) is a young man with more feelings than words, pining for Rukmini (Thapaswini), whose family has its own ideas about her future. Meanwhile, his father Naganna (Rangayana Raghu) carries the quieter, heavier love - the kind that has weathered years of silence and sacrifice. As Santosh stumbles through the rituals of courtship, he begins to see his father not as an authority figure but as a man who once felt the same dizzying things.
Around them swirls a village full of gossips, brokers, and well-meaning elders. Shanta (Ilaa Vitla), Shivalingu (Devendra Naidu), and the scheming Broker (Govinde Gowda) all nudge the plot along, sometimes comically, sometimes cruelly. The film's central question is simple: can love, in its many forms, survive the expectations placed upon it? Kumar answers with patience rather than fireworks.
